Santa’s Village: Jefferson, NH
Santa’s Village is dear to my heart! It is about an hour away from North Conway, but we enjoy staying in North Conway and making the drive up the mountain for a day. Santa’s Village will entertain children of all ages for an entire day. There is an amazing waterpark (I would recommend going in the afternoon). The rides are adorable and there were some my 1-year-old could go on and also some my 11-year-old enjoyed as well. We love the ABC elf card where the children have to find each elf and have the card stamped. My 4-year-old was so into this! When they are finished turn it in at the Elf Institute (near the main entrance) for a small prize and an elf certificate.
We rented a locker at the water park area to store our towels and clothes while we rode the rides. This was so worth it! If you are staying most of the day at the water park they have adorable cabanas for rent as well. Having your picture taken with Santa is a must! Don’t forget all the amazing photo opportunities throughout the park. There is an amazing gift shop where the kids can fill a glass with colored sand, make their own body scrub or makeup, or make handprint t-shirts! I love having the babies make handprint t-shirts. We cherish them forever! The best part is feeding those real reindeers. My 4-year-old tried to eat the carrots himself LOL! Click HERE to purchase tickets in advance, this is required as of right now.
Storyland: Glen, NH
Storyland is about 8 minutes from North Conway. It is geared more toward younger children, but they do have a couple of roller coasters, a flume, and a raft ride to entertain the older children. There are lots of rides that the younger kids can go on too. They just have to prove that they can walk onto the ride themselves. We always go to the left of the park first and hit up the bigger rides. Then we save the playhouses on the right side of the park for last. You also get to ride in a pumpkin carriage to visit Cinderella! What is better than that? Don’t forget to visit the old woman in the shoe! She has been there for years. Click HERE for their website. Tickets need to be purchased ahead of time online. **Storyland is cashless!
Cranmore Mountain
Cranmore Mountain is right in North Conway. It is full of summer fun. Excellent for winter sports as well! You can purchase a summer day pass online HERE for all summer activities. The day pass includes the mountain coaster, giant swing, soaring eagle, summer tubing, rock climbing wall, bungee trampoline, spyder mountain, and bounce houses. The summer activities also include a scenic chair lift and mountain biking (additional fees apply). The kids had so much fun here! You can ride the rides over and over again. Don’t forget to wear closed-toe shoes!
Schouler Park & Shops
Schouler Park is right in the heart of North Conway. We actually rented an Airbnb right down the street! The entire street is filled with adorable stores, bakeries, and a great pizza shop. It is also home to the famous Zeb’s General Store. The park is located right next to the train station. It has a great field, a huge playground, and a splash pad for the kids. Don’t miss out on this location. Everything does close early at about 6 pm each night.
Diana’s Bath
Diana’s Bath is a hidden gem in North Conway. I have to admit it may be one of the best places I have ever visited in my life! It is a natural lake waterfall. The kids will have a blast climbing the rocks and a picnic lunch would be amazing. It even downpoured while we were there and it was still a dream. A few tips! It is about a .6 of a mile walk to the waterfalls and back through the woods. It costs $5 to park and there is a self-service envelope to complete at the entrance. Also, bring water shoes. It is slippery barefoot. The crocs worked well for the kids and it was easy to hose down all the mud after. I loved this place so much that I want to drive back up this weekend!
